Kelly Kassandra Lozano

Greetings, my name is Kelly and i am an artist, pilot, entrepreneur, and athlete. I was born on 01/30/1998 in CA and reside in beautiful Newport Beach. I have been selling art and flying airplanes for a decade and also have other interests. I fell in love with art when I was a child through a technique called, “Gesture Drawing”. I am a true believer that talent consists of technique and practice. We are all able to learn new talents and I encourage you to give drawing a chance.

Creating has been the essential resource that I have used to communicate and express myself ever since I can remember. It has also been a great form of therapy and a way to transfer my memories and thoughts onto a canvas. My paintings are a reflection of my feelings and what’s lingering on my mind. As you can tell, I absolutely love the ocean, aviation, and nature. As a pilot, I get to capture incredible landscapes while roaming the skies. I paint with lots of passion and I am inspired by love. I think God is the ultimate artist and if I had wrists of steel and unlimited supplies, I’d paint 24/7. Art is a big part of me and I hope to inspire others to create and show their work. Life can be turbulent at times, but it’s through connections with others that we get through it efficiently. Not only does creating art help produce neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain, it also builds fine motor skills, improves cognitive function, and improve brain elasticity. After all, what we do and what we say is a reflection of who we are. I encourage everyone to give drawing a chance, it might change your life just like it did mine.

My family originated from Peru and Italy. I am the third daughter out of four and was raised by a military father. I was raised in a strict and stoic household which had great benefits in structure, moral compass, routine, and work ethic. Art has helped me share and process my emotions and past traumas. It has also helped me look at situations from a bigger picture. I grew up playing basketball, softball, and tennis. I also enjoy trap shooting and cycling and find competitive sports essential in character development.

I am pleased to announce my biggest project yet: I am the Founder and Executive Director of PIATTAFORMA a 501(3)(c) ARTS ORGANIZATION.

My team and I are very excited for our first event, which will be right before the summer. Piattaforma Arts Organization strives to bring more culture to Newport Beach by providing a platform for up and coming artists. We will provide our artists with showcases, portfolios, mixed packages, media, and guide them in the path of their dreams. Not only will our artists have the opportunities to show the world their work in a cost efficient way, they will also have access to galleries, magazines, sponsors, and much more. Piattaforma will have art shows like no other that will improve social life and the economy in Newport Beach. We plan to partner with neighboring businesses and create a foundation that essentially unites and helps not just artists, but the community.

This photo is where my logo originates from. When I was a child, I had a dream: “One day when i’m a pilot, I’m going to fly to places with my easel and paint and just start painting what I see.” In 2020, I got my Private Pilot License and flew to Catalina, with my easel and paint. This logo represents a dream that came true and I am beyond blessed and grateful for all the love and support. Thank you very much, I appreciate each and every one of you. Lots of love, now and always. -Kel

My favorite book is “Somewhere in Time” by Richard Matheson and my favorite movie is, “The Aviator”. When it comes to music, I listen to a variety of different genres, including Classical, EDM, Rock, and Jazz. Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band, I can listen to Stevie sing all day long! My favorite airplane is the SR-71 Blackbird, the capabilities on that aircraft blows my mind.
